    Improvement of the linear quadratic regulator control applied to a DC-DC boost converter driving a permanent magnet direct current motor

    This article discusses a new robust control technique that enables the DC-DC boost converter driving a permanent magnet direct current (PMDC) motor to operate in high static and dynamic performances. The new technique is based on the design of a both linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and linear quadratic regulator-proportional integral (LQR-PI) type controllers, which have the advantage of eliminating oscillations, overshoots and fluctuations on different characteristics in steady-state system operation. In order to increase the output voltage, the LQR regulator is combined with a first-order system represented in the form of a closed-loop transfer function, the latter raising the output voltage to 24 volts, this voltage is enough to drive the permanent magnet direct current motor. The contribution of this paper is the creation of a robust control system represented in the form of a hybrid corrector able to regulate steady-state and transient disturbances and oscillations as well as to increase DC-DC boost converter output voltage for the PMDC motor to operate at rated voltage. The results of the three control techniques are validated by MATLAB Simulink

    A Proposition Relationship Between Green Workplace Environment and Employees Green Behavior on Organizational and Environmental Impacts

    International audienceA green workplace environment can be seen as an antecedent of clean energy leading to support ecosystem efficiency. Modern and digitalized firms are looking to upgrade and leverage green practices at all organizational levels. The nature of their businesses does not matter. In light of the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19), this study highlights the key factors influencing Algerian firms during the COVID-19 to deploy green practices to enhance cleanliness, employee satisfaction, and organizational and environmental impact. Therefore, this scenario is expected to enhance the efficiency of employee’s green behavior toward the rationalization of resource use, improving energy efficiency, and thus reducing environmental impacts of COVID-19 as such. Even though COVID-19 has a significant implication, it opens a new room yielding considerable opportunities and new research streams to look into the deficiencies associated with individuals, organizations, governments, and scientists.     Impact of Entrepreneurial Orientation on Innovation Capability: The Mediating Role of Absorptive Capability and Organizational Learning Capabilities

    Learning and knowledge creation are acknowledged as crucial drivers associated with entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and innovation capability (IC). Absorptive capacity (AC) harmonizes internal innovation-building activities with external opportunities, while organizational learning capabilities (OLC) foster entrepreneurial cognitive skills and innovation capabilities. This study aims to (1) predict the impact of absorptive capacity and organizational learning on IC and (2) to estimate the mediation effect of OLC and AC on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and innovation capabilities. Drawing upon the dynamic capability theory, the study had applied a cross-sectional survey targeting Algerian firms to test the hypotheses. The study findings indicate that EO is positively associated with innovation capability. Besides, even though both OLC and AC partially increase EO’s interaction impact on innovation capability as a mediation role, suggesting that the more a firm is entrepreneurially oriented, the more learning and knowledge creation processes are involved in the interaction relationship. This study’s core focus is to overcome the substantial role of learning and knowledge creation processes as an intangible proactive resource that fosters the EO mindset to get involved in innovation activities. It has been discovered that AC and OLC as a connectedness mechanism links external knowledge and internal learning processes to accompany EO readiness during innovation development
